This song was written after being falsely accused of stealing food from a local restaurant. The Producer: Quan sent me this track and I just spit out my emotions. I was sad, hurt, frustrated, angry and channeled that energy into Redemption. It was one of many accounts of racism I had been the target of ... It was also my cry to the people, organizations and communities who say they love but truly love only WITH conditions.
So I asked when will we be free?
